Arriving in the United States

On June 15th, seven WWH2H children arrived in the US to participate in the Summer English Immersion Program. Five of those children will be staying in the Pacific NW and two will be staying in the south. Each child is being individually hosted by a family. During their stay, the children will be immersed in the English language and exposed to many new experiences. Our hope is that each of the children will return to Honduras with an increased ability to communicate in English, a greater awareness of the world they live in and a deep desire to become all that God has created them to be.

They are using donated funds to reach those devastated by the recent tornados in the south. They are taking survival supplies from Smithville to the east end of Alabama, following the path of the tornado to find survivors and to help them. Please pray for the tireless workers at the Smithville Church of Christ who are directing this aide. Send donations to them at the following address with a note directing the funds to “Tornado Relief Fund”. They will send you a tax statement for your donation at year’s end. The deadline for receiving letters and gifts to go with this team is May 15. While the team is there each child will receive an envelope containing letters from their sponsors, candies, stickers and stationary. If you would like to contribute by sending candies, stickers, stationary or other small items it would be greatly appreciated!

The team will be celebrating birthdays for the months of April-June. If you don’t know your child’s birthday, email Lisa at LisaC@wwh2h.org.
